Looking back on the conclusion of the 2017 Melbourne Fashion Week, I am so grateful to have been one of the four ambassadors for the festival this year which embraced diversity within the fashion industry. With the frenzy of preparing outfits for shows and lead up events, this was one of my favourite outfits that I didn’t get a chance to wear (but totally wish I did). Viktoria & Woods Williamsburg blazer + Rosehill laced pants | Alix Yang Harper earring | Senso Niko mules | YSL bag
Ditching the shirt, a lace bralette or sans- bra completely (with a belt to keep things in place) is perfect for a dressier, more night time appropriate look and works great as a blank canvas against statement accessories- I’m loving this white set paired with some gold earrings by Alix Yang. A pantsuit is a bold yet feminine look, that you shouldn’t be afraid to try and definitely not just a look for the farshunable (don’t mind my fading bikini tan, I couldn’t go around it so you just gotta werk it). A minimal blazer and trousers are such a simple combination, but it definitely makes a lasting impression at any occasion- there’s good reason why they call it a ‘powersuit’.
