I’m sure I’ve said this before, but a shirt is hands down one of the most versatile pieces to own in any wardrobe. These looks were mainly inspired by the different shirts that I’ve seen in stores/ online and I thought it would be fun to try to find different ways to wear this shirt. Picking this shirt up in a size larger than usual, the slight puffiness to the sleeves and the colour- hello blue, makes it my favourite shirt yet.
The Side Knot and Open Shoulder The Front Tuck + Longer BackThere are SO many ways to wear a shirt:
- Keep the shirt open over a cami on those hot days when a jacket is just too hot to wear, but bare shoulders are just too cold for that indoor air conditioning.
- Depending on the fit of the shirt, you can also wear a shirt as a skirt and wrap the sleeves for a knot effect (you can find both looks on my Instagram if you scroll back far enough).
- If you find a long-line shirt (mens’ shirts are usually longer) you can get away with wearing it as a dress, just throw on a cropped leather jacket, belt or even a structured bustier for that total fashun meets girl boss look.
- Wearing a shirt over your shoulders or around the waist are also ways to add a little more oomph to your outfit, the list just goes on and on.
