In the heat of Summer, an off the shoulder top (or cami) + lightweight lace shorts are my way of staying cool, but still managing to look somewhat put together instead of dying from heat. Especially when most indoor places blast the AC during 37 degree days, a long sleeve keeps you from getting too chilly and saves you from lugging around that jacket that you don't really want to hold, nor tie around your waist (feels?)

Bomber jackets + loose trousers are my favourite to wear on those days where comfort is key and while thick bombers were THE best during winter- keeping you warm & toasty, during the Summer time a thick insulated jacket isn't quite at the top of anyone's priority list. As a fabric, silk is definitely one of the most cooling materials and not only keeps you from breaking out a sweat, but feels oh so nice on the skin too, which is why I got SO excited when I came across this silk bomber jacket from Grana. And with matching trousers with a stripe on the side for a sporty, but not-exactly-gym-gear look, it's a full proof combo.

Have a great Christmas everyone!

With 2017 coming to an end, I decided to do a post on my favourite black on black look + some of my current black pieces on high rotation.

A good pair of black jeans come a long way, and paired with a classic black blouse, you're good to go. As the year comes to an end, I decided to pick up a new pair of jeans from Uniqlo in time for 2017- after all the wear and tear (of the rips) in my jeans this year, it would be good to say that a new year calls for a fresh pair of jeans. While a basic black tee is great, a little bit of pleats never hurt nobody, and this top is exactly what elevates a casual look to an evening look.

With my birthday last week, I decided to treat myself to the Saint Laurent 'Blogger' bag and while it may look small, it fits my iPhone 6, my key pouch, my card holder + sunnies, which is all you really need in an everyday bag really. Small, but functional is the exactly how you can describe it.

Whilst luxury shopping in stores in an experience that usually doesn't end in a purchase every time, online luxury shopping usually has a higher likelihood of a purchase (at least in my situation). Recently introduced to the Italian internet luxury retailer YooxI've been trying hard not to visit the store (virtually) everyday. With the biggest brands and household names in the fashion industry- Alexander Wang, Prada, Helmut Lang, Celine,  Jil Sander & Marni to name a few, Yoox is THE place to find that special item- and with such a large variety of offerings, there's really something for everyone.
WEARING: VIKTOR & ROLF top from YOOX | Black Trousers (similar) | SAINT LAURENT blogger bag | NINE WEST heels (similar)

This top by Viktor & Rolf  isn't something that I would usually buy, but rather is something that I admire as a piece of art and the whole design as a creative form. However, with beautiful ruffles- bold, but not over the top and delicate mesh fabric that is more comfortable than other pieces of clothing made in the same fabric, the back detailing to balance out the front, I needed this piece in my wardrobe. When I was browsing online, it's fair to say that I've added a few items to the 'love' section (Acne shirt + Marni sandals are on my Summer wishlist)
because YOOX = sartorial heaven
