As most bloggers can relate to, being in the fashion blogging realm means you often get sent an abundance of clothes and regardless of whether you love the pieces or not, there are only so many days in a week and so many occasions that you can wear a dress or the coolest and trendiest pleated shirt.
Especially with posting on our multiple social channels, creating new content generally means new clothes, new shoes, accessories and most of the time the outfits we wear are exposed to thousands of people- thus taking away the whole 'oh I haven't seen this before, is it new?' aspect. To satisfy the requirement of fresh new looks, this usually means our wardrobes are overflowing with clothes that have been worn once or twice.
While selling wardrobe items sounds easy enough, hosting a stall at the Sunday markets usually requires more effort than one would prefer and the prices are usually lower through reoccurring haggling- sometimes it's just not worth driving and setting up in the early hours with the result of making a $5 profit on each item.
In hope of starting 2017 with a decluttered wardrobe, I recently joined the Carousell marketplace via the app and have just started to list a few items (though there will be much, MUCH more to come). Listing is easy as taking a photo or finding an existing image, adding a description, setting a price and posting! Most of my items will be in the clothing/ accessories category, but there will definitely be a few beauty products here and there. With most items new with tags, prices will be somewhere around 50-90% retail prices and with recognisable high street labels and Australian designers, there will (hopefully) be something for everyone.
If you want to declutter your wardrobe and sell in the easiest way, download the Carousell app from the App store and follow me at @kristywho if you want to keep up to date will all my listings! x
