Skinny Jeans + A Denim Bomber

Skinny jeans are a staple item in any wardrobe- for both guys and girls, but nothing is harder than finding a pair that fits perfectly to your body, is comfortable and doesn't lose its shape or colour after a few months of wear.

Over the years, I've accumulated numerous pairs of black skinny jeans and because they never fit like I want them to, they've been neglected after one or two wears. For me, comfort is key so I look for stretch and mobility in a pair of jeans, which is why I opted for the 3301 skinny jean from G-Star Raw's denim range.

My advice is when looking for the perfect pair to fit you, know how you'd like the jeans to sit around your waist (high rise, low rise, regular), the level of stretchiness as well as the length of the actual jean (cropped, full length etc.). It's always handy to have your measurements on hand too, otherwise most shop assistants in a denim specialty store should be able to give you a hand.

Aside from accessories, silver isn't really a colour in my regular wardrobe colour palette. I have always been daunted by wearing metallics as I feel you can easily look like you're going to a ball of some sort or if not styled properly, it may throw off the entire outfit.
That being said, when I saw this silver trench jacket I knew I had to step out of my comfort zone and give it a go because as far as statement pieces go, this is definitely wearable and practical. Besides, I've found that silver looks great styled with grey, which makes it more subtle.

Sports Luxe

WEARING: HUNTR Track Pullover | ASOS pants | VANS Old Skools |
Sheinside clutch | DANIEL WELLINGTON watch

I'm not someone who has a religious exercise routine (or any one to be honest), but I have plenty of friends who gym and more often than not, I'll see them around in their compression tights and high tech, some-kind-of-new-technology sneaker. If I was a regular at the gym I'd want to wear pieces that can be worn whilst getting red and sweaty, but also out to grab coffee or juice after- you know, just the usual places you see celebrities out and about in their exercise gear.

Layering Under Dresses

A strapless A-line LBD is one of the most elegant silhouettes, but it's not a piece that you can wear easily during the day. When you want to rock the strapless dress or simply don't have enough time to get changed into a new outfit for that dinner at night, wearing a T-shirt underneath is the way to go. Not only is it super practical, but you can still flaunt that gorgeous dress of yours.

For the T-shirt underneath, you can play around with different colours/prints to see how it can instantly transform your look. However, if you're like me and love the classic black and white look, throw on a cardigan with a fun print to keep things interesting (not to mention you'll be warm when it suddenly gets cold).

Dress Over Pants

An up and coming trend that I've seen in editorials and at fashion week is wearing dresses over pants. Prior to its inception, the thought of wearing pants under a skirt, let alone a dress was ludicrous, I mean why wouldn't you just wear stockings or leggings, right?

After a few months of testing it out myself (long dresses/short dresses, tight pants/baggy pants, you know it),  I've come to the conclusion that I am indeed a fan of the whole dress over pants trend. Dresses are probably the least frequently worn section in a wardrobe so being able to wear them casually over pants means more love to them!
