NYFW A/W15

Since I'm not one of the lucky people to be able to brave the cold and attend New York fashion week this year, I've ritually stalked Style.com for the images from the shows that are showing over in the Big Apple. Below, I've filtered through the thousands of images to find my favourite outfits from the AW collections.

Tibi
Known for her minimalist flair and penchant for neutral colours, Amy Smilovic brought out the true essence of Tibi in this collection. Aside from your standard blacks, whites and shades of grey, beiges and warm nudes were the accents of the collection. Somewhat reflective of the chilly weather experienced in New York during Winter, the warm cozy materials and forgiving proportions certainly fulfill desires to stay comfortable during the colder seasons. Bring on Winter, Melbourne.

Dion Lee
Being one of the industry's most intriguing fashion designers, Dion Lee never fails to impress  when it comes to innovative garment construction and vexing designs. Compared to his SS14 (also my favourite) range, this collection is much softer, with fluid designs, draping materials and longer hemlines.

The Row

Being held on the 35th floor of one of the most New York-esque buildings, The Row's A/W15 collection was flooded with warm, natural lighting, which beautifully accented the neutral colour palette of the tailored pieces. Thick belting was seen on a few of the outfits, which brought shape to the silhouette and made a great understated statement piece. Bravo, Mary-Kate and Ashley.
Alexander Wang
Think, 90s grunge, everything black, leather, hardware embellishments, studded everything,
Prabal Gurung
Opening Ceremony
Every minimalist's dream as well as a pop of colour for the more vibrant.
