A Post in Squares

Let's take a minute to appreciate the new Instagram update. I mean, when all the different updates first came out (not so much the minor bug fixes, more so the direct messaging and videos) everyone had mixed messages about it; I remember people complaining "It's basically trying to be Snapchat/Vine/Facebook" or "Instagram is supposed to be for photos" etc. and I'm not going to lie, I was a little confused too because Instagram started off being a simple, yet innovative concept with nothing but effects. However the new inbuilt photo editing options (if you haven't fallen victim to automatic updates yet, you now have have the option of adjusting brightness, contrast and more..) make my life that little bit more efficient as I don't have to go through the tedious process of using a couple of external editing apps to get the desired aesthetic I'm going for. But I guess, such updates are only expected since more and more people choose to use Instagram as their creative platform, not only for recreational and social purposes, but also for business.

More time to do other things! Like the studying, which I should be doing right now, but I'm on the bus so I guess I'm being somewhat productive. I sound like some sort of promoter for Instagram, but really, I'm just excited about an update that's actually helpful.
