From a perspective other than my own, I'm sure (well at least hope) that you wouldn't have picked up on the fact that my 'skirt' is in fact a top. More often than not, I find myself choosing to wear patterns on the bottom as opposed to on the top as the attention is shifted away from my face (very helpful when you've accumulated under eye bags larger than the Chanel hula hoop bag and puffy cheeks from the large amounts of sodium consumed as a result of sleep deprivation) . In this case, a belt is your best friend as well as a baggy top to cover the awkward bunch up around the waist. Alternatively you can get another layer and tie it around your waist if baggy isn't your thing, it really doesn't require much skill. The beauty of this trick is that you can adjust the skirt to whatever length you feel like, you'll feel better getting more use out of the particular top and your wallet won't be any thinner. Score!
